![]() ![]() Did you guys think about the implications of making these changes? It got me frustrated enough to come here to write this. What should have been a helpful addition (the ability to control each field's location, privacy, and how it is displayed) is now incredibly annoying and work intensive. Trying to simply move an element to the top of a column causes it to think you want to resize it, make a new column, or any other random behavior besides it going where you want it to go. As your business grows, it gets harder to build and maintain accurate reports, plans and forecasts. And, with multiple views, I have to hand design that for each one because they can't simply be duplicated.Īnd don't get me talking about the snapping and resizing behavior that is infuriating when I'm already mad I have to do this in the first place. It's like starting from scratch, all over again. Why the heck isn't it using the view from the source table in the element? I have to redesign all interfaces because of this, and each table that is attached to it. Expanding a record takes you to some random view used from another element in the design, instead of the table's view that it is sourcing from that you're trying to expand (just like evvvvery where else in AT). I designed interfaces, and with some update they are all broken. I can't even find the email where you guys talked about this. A dashboard or report is really only as useful as the questions it answers and the decisions it motivates. Each is a bit different and will suit a slightly different audience from beginners to experienced analysts. We’ve tried various ways of building Airtable dashboards and have come up with three viable methods. Step 3: Then click on the name of the Base for whose records you want to create Airtable Dashboards. Three approaches to building an Airtable reporting dashboard. I got an email saying that something was wrong with their interface and they couldn't view certain linked records, which is when I found this change. You can create Airtable Dashboards by implementing the following steps: Step 1: Log in to your Airtable Pro account. ![]() Never have I faced such an illogical design decision in recent memory. A Reporting Tool - Basically, we need to be able to (at a moment’s notice) generate a printable project status report from a given Airtable view (a grid/spreadsheet-style view of dozens of projects, ideally with page headers/footers, numbered rows, labeled columns, and all the other features you’d see on a typical Excel spreadsheet when. It allows users to convert data into visuals and graphics, visually explore and analyze data, collaborate on interactive dashboards and reports, and scale.
